  • Analyze security vulnerabilities in networks and IoT devices and propose countermeasures.

ISL Research Interests

Malware Detection via Encrypted Packet Analysis

This project aims to develop novel algorithms for detecting malware that use encryption to evade network monitoring. It combines analytical data science and cryptanalysis to enable real-time detection through network packet monitoring.

Security, Privacy, and Efficiency of Networked Storages

This project aims to investigate the security and privacy weaknesses of emerging network storage systems and propose technical solutions to address them. Given the growing importance of cloud and fog storage, developing effective defense mechanisms against cyberattacks is crucial.

Blockchain Technologies and Their Applications

This project aims to investigate the fundamentals of blockchain technologies and explore new applications beyond virtual currencies. With the rising popularity of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, blockchain technology is gaining attention for broader use cases.

Computer Science Education for Al

This project aims to design innovative tools and approaches to make computer science education accessible to students from traditionally underrepresented groups, including females, students with disabilities, low SES, and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Despite growing recognition of CS’s importance, disparities in access persist, particularly for these groups.
